SUSTEIN team members Martin Skrydstrup and Matthew Archer visited Hamburg last month to observe the discourse around sustainable tea in the context of business-to-business (“B2B”) trading. They saw very interesting and divergent performances of expertise, as well as a concerted effort among both producers and importers to “brand the nation,” whether it’s the purity of Kenya’s tea fields or the refined selection of German tea shops. COTECA is Europe’s top industry expo for coffee, tea, and cacao.
